CASE STUDY - SHORYU RAMEN
CLIENT: Japan Cetre Group / Shoryu Ramen
BRIEF: To develop the Brand Operations and Franchising Manual based on the operations in London, Oxford and Manchester for implementation and expansion across the UK and initially and then into mainland Europe.
STRATEGY: To investigate and understand all aspects of the business from an operational, commercial and design perspective, especially highlighting the genuine authenticity of the origin, recipes, approach and family heritage behind the brand.
To work with the owners and in-house design team in documenting the processes and procedures for the business, with close attention to the key differences in ingredients and sourcing that has put the brand at the forefront of the UK ramen market.
Coordination and consolidation of information to provide an accurate representation of the brand in all its forms and to define the process from property sourcing and location scouting, through to site-build, launch and brand standards for third party operators.
RESULTS: Ford Consultancy jointly launched the first UK franchise site in London's Kensington to critical and commercial acclaim and subsequently recruited, vetted and engaged with several other potential franchisees for the brand owner to work with.
